Mecca | The Ministry of Hajj has announced that the registration process for this year’s Hajj has been completed through the ministry’s online portal. 5,40,000 applications were received from domestic pilgrims through the electronic portal. The ministry said it had not set priorities for the selection of pilgrims and the names of those selected would be available on the ministry’s portal from 1 pm on June 25. Pilgrims will be selected based on criteria set by the Saudi Ministry of Health. Priority will be given to those who have not yet performed Hajj.
Pilgrims from foreign countries were not allowed in following the global Kovid epidemic. Sixty thousand people, including locals and foreigners living in Saudi Arabia, are allowed to perform Hajj this year.
