Halo Infinite – August 2022 Drop Pod Patches

  • Active challenges are now displayed in the multiplayer pause menu.

Fixes

Multiplayer

  • The sound volume of a nearby player’s shield recharge has been decreased, especially if the player in question is not in your line of sight.
  • Choppers no longer use their infinite boost after being hit and disabled by the EMP effect of a Dynamo Grenade.
  • The M41 SPNKr’s area of ​​effect has been increased and damage applied to targets is now more consistent.
  • An Overloaded Plasma Pistol shot now properly drains all of its target’s shields, even if they have active Armor.
  • Assists and medals related to the marking system now appear correctly when the AI ​​Superintendent is equipped.
  • Players can no longer tag enemies hidden behind Spartan-sized cover.
  • Headshots inflicted on enemies without shields and performed with precision weapons such as the Mk50 Sidekick and Tracker Rifle are better accounted for.
  • In Custom Games, King of the Hill mode now goes into overtime when both teams have the same score at the end of regulation time.
  • In Free For All King of the Hill games, the mini scoreboard at the bottom of the screen no longer displays unused metrics, and the full scoreboard displays the following stats:
    • Points ;
    • Score ;
    • Frags;
    • Death.
  • In Custom Games, rounds of Attrition correctly end when a team is completely eliminated.
  • Spectators using Observer mode on PC should no longer see a player’s weapons flailing when moving the camera up or down.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented picking up downed equipment near the lower bridge of light on the Catalyst map.
  • Observers are no longer counted as enemy team members in Attrition Custom Games.
  • The Final Danger Zone outline will no longer appear early in Last Spartan Standing Custom Games.
  • Downed weapons will no longer stack during Tactical Assassin games.

  • The fourth challenge slot will now always be used when a premium Battle Pass is equipped.
  • Visor colors now appear correctly when using the following helmet/accessory combinations:
    • CAMBION helmet and UA/Februus accessory;
    • AKIS II-GRD helmet and accessory TAS/Lantifrid.
  • The Last Spartan Surviving and Land Ownership modes now have unique icons in the various menus.
  • In the Ranked Arena home menu, changing the waitlist type will correctly update the estimated wait time indicator.
  • Error messages now appear consistently in matchmaking playlist menus.

Rebalances

Grapple Launcher

  • It is no longer possible to cancel the boarding of an enemy using a Grapple Launcher by exiting the boarded vehicle.

Light and medium vehicles

  • Light and medium vehicles (such as the Ghost and Warthog) are now more resistant to hits from various weapons.
  • Global (Campaign and Multiplayer):
    • Reduced heavy weapon damage on light vehicles from 160 to 155%;
    • Reduced heavy weapon damage on medium vehicles from 128% to 125%;
    • Reduced electric weapon damage on light vehicles from 30% to 25%;
    • Decreased Disruptor Supersuit and Dynamo Grenade damage on light vehicles from 75% to 30%;

  • Multiplayer only:
    • Reduced Kinetic weapon damage on light vehicles from 35% to 30%;
    • Reduced Kinetic weapon damage on medium vehicles from 20% to 15%;
    • Reduced explosive damage on light vehicles from 80% to 50%;
    • Reduced explosive damage on medium vehicles from 45% to 30%;
    • Reduced solid light weapon damage on light vehicles from 100% to 75%;
    • Reduced Solid Light weapon damage on medium vehicles from 100% to 70%.

Warthog

  • The Warthog can now be destabilized more easily by explosives such as the M41 SPNKr or the Repulsor.
    • Increased Horizontal Impulse from 0.65 to 0.7;
    • Increased Vertical Impulse from 0.9 to 1;
    • Increased Angular Impulse from 0.65 to 0.7.

Known issues

  • In Last Spartan Surviving Custom Games, bots do not switch to the next loadout even after gaining enough experience to do so.
  • The version of Halo Infinite available via him Microsoft Store and the app Xbox can download more data when launching the game.
