On the 15th, the National Tax Service disclosed the personal information of 6940 large and habitual delinquent taxpayers, 47 tax evaders, and 31 unfaithful donation receiving organizations. Previously, the list of persons subject to disclosure was finalized after a deliberation by the National Tax Information Commission last month. This list includes high-amount, habitual delinquents who have not paid national taxes of more than 200 million won for over a year. Tax evaders who were convicted of tax evasion through fraud were also included. In addition, social welfare corporations, schools, kindergartens, daycare centers, and medical corporations that issued fake donation receipts or violated the Inheritance and Gift Tax Act and the Corporate Tax Act. There are 4,423 delinquents and 2,517 corporations whose names were newly released this year. Their total arrears amounted to 4,419.6 billion won. Among the individual delinquents, there were many operators of illegal gambling companies classified in the gambling and betting industry. In addition to Lim, Yoon Sang-pil (46), who is second in arrears, paid 70.8 billion won, and Park Jung-min (42) also ranked in the top 10 in arrears. Among the total delinquents, 4,869 people with 200 million to 500 million won in arrears accounted for 70.2% of the total. It also accounted for 36.6% of total arrears, the largest share. There are also 10 people who have over 10 billion won in arrears, and their arrears amount to 358.5 billion won.
More than half of the 4,423 individual delinquents, 2,618 (59.2%) were in their 40s and 50s. Their arrears amount to 1,825.9 billion won. There are also 48 people under the age of 30 who are in arrears, and the amount in arrears is 20.5 billion won. By region, 2,525 people, or 57.1% of the delinquents, lived in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. The amount of delinquents in the metropolitan area is 1,850.5 billion won (62.6%).
Among corporate arrears, the service and construction industries accounted for 48.2%, nearly half, the most.
