Head of State instructs to maintain protocols of attention and care in Health Centers for patients with COVID-19

This Saturday during the Balance of the fight against COVID-19, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez and the Presidential Commission to review the protocols of attention and care in Hospitals and Health Centers to COVID-19 patients.

He explained that he received a complaint about the relaxation in diagnostic care and treatment for people with COVID-19 in some hospitals and health centers.

“I ask the COVID-19 Commission, Minister Carlos Alvarado, the entire team, Barrio Adentro 100% health, the Cuban Medical Mission, I urgently ask, we must maintain the protocols of attention and care,” urged the Head of state.

He stressed that it should not be that a patient with COVID-19 is sent home, and then treated when the disease becomes complicated, “it can’t be like that, we have to be vigilant, it can’t be that.”

He indicated that a team is already conducting the inspection to check the situation in the different sentinel hospitals and other health centers ready to care for patients infected by coronavirus.
