Health Agent: Black fungus is not transmitted from one person to another, and it is wrong to associate it with Corona disease

Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Affairs, said that the black fungus is a type of fungus sister, “bread mold, and the fungi found around demolished buildings,” stressing that the danger of the fungi is very simple.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Preventive Affairs explained that the black fungus disease does not affect patients with simple immunodeficiency, noting by saying: “This disease, its scientific description, is an opportunistic infection that affects immunocompromised people, and the black fungus is not something that is detected by mere infection with corona, but it is pathological cases that come and go for recovery. Early detection of such a fungus is a sufficient guarantee for a prompt treatment.”
