Health Minister: For the first time, lung transplantation has been approved in Egypt

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar revealed Minister of HealthDetails of the establishment of the largest regional center for organ transplantation in Egypt and the Middle East. He continued: “The center will have 12,000 operating rooms with international designs that accept all transplants, and we will have a national network for organ transplantation and a research center as well, and for the first time lung transplantation will be approved in Egypt.”

Abdel Ghaffar explained, during a telephone interview with the media, Azza Mustafa, on the “Tahrir Hall” program, which is broadcast on “Echo of the Country” channel: “We suggested to the political leadership to start establishing the largest regional center for organ transplantation in Egypt and the Middle East, and the building will be inside the Medical City in Nasser City.”

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, pointed out that more than 1.3 million citizens have benefited from the decision to eliminate waiting lists at a cost of 12 billion pounds, adding that waiting lists will not end in any country around the world, but measures are being taken to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
