Studio GSC Game World has resumed development of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl after a temporary suspension due to geopolitical events. In March it became known that the team moved from Kyiv to Prague.

Communicating with fans in the game’s official Discord channel, one of the employees of GSC Game World under the pseudonym Mol1t answered to a fan when asked about the progress of development, that it is “ongoing”. Officially, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is scheduled to release in December, but due to the complications that the GSC Game World team has encountered, a postponement of the project to next year will be expected.
Earlier it also became known that the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media of Russia blocked the site of the GSC Game World studio, and after that of STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl itself in the Russian Federation. In addition, the game will not be sold in Russia by decision of the GSC Game World studio. At the same time, buyers will receive pre-ordered digital editions.
STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl is coming to PC and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be available at its debut on Xbox Game Pass.
