JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – Bollywood lost some of their stars during the coronavirus pandemic by means of suicide.
Here are some Indian celebrities who have died tragically in the last few months.
The 25-year-old actress committed suicide at her residence in Indore, Monday (25/5/2020).
Hours before her death, the actress shared an implied message in the post on her Instagram account.
“Sabse bura hota hai sapno ka mar jaana,” he wrote, meaning there is nothing worse than your dying dream.
Preksha Mehta reportedly went into depression due to a long absence of work lockdown enforced by the Indian government.
He has also returned home due to the widespread spread of the corona virus in Mumbai, the center of the Indian film industry.
Television star Manmeet Grewal who appears on shows such as Aadat Se Majboor and Kuldeepak committed suicide at his residence in Navi area, Mumbai, on May 15, 2020.
Reportedly, Manmeet was burdened with debt and couldn’t get any work because of this lockdown in India.
The 32-year-old actor was found by his wife, hanging himself in his bedroom.
Unfortunately, the cries for help from Manmeet’s wife were not answered by neighbors who believed Manmeet might be infected with the corona virus.
This 34-year-old actor was found dead allegedly by committing suicide at his home in Mumbai, Sunday (14/6/2020) local time.
Rajputs are said to have been under pressure and depression for the past few months.
The death of Sushant Singh is one of the deaths that shocked the Bollywood film industry.
Indian film actor, Ashutosh Bhakre (32) allegedly died by suicide at his residence in Nanded City, Marathwada, India, on July 29, 2020.
It is not known why Bhakre committed suicide, only, police officials said, Ashutosh Bhakre had reportedly been depressed since a few days before his death.
In fact, Bhakre also shared a video on social media containing his analysis of the reasons for suicide.
Sameer was found dead at his residence in Mumbai, Wednesday (5/8/2020).
Police suspect the 44-year-old actor died by hanging himself.
This is because the building guard, who was patrolling on Wednesday night, said he saw Sharma hanging from the ceiling in his kitchen
From the doctor’s examination, which was conveyed to the police, Sameer’s body had already decomposed, so it was suspected that he had died two days before his body was found by the building guard.
Bhojupuri Anupama Pathak was found dead at his home in Mira area, Mumbai Metropolitan area, India.
Based on the initial investigation, the police said that Pathak died of suicide, on Friday (7/8/2020).
Police said Pathak felt cheated by a friend for not returning his two-wheeled vehicle.
Moreover, Pathak is known to be in a difficult economic condition because he does not work due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
