Hedosophia starts largest Spac in Europe

Düsseldorf, London There are more rumors than verified lines about investor Ian Osborne. Insiders know he is involved in a lot of business. With his Hedosophia fund, he holds shares in numerous German start-ups. These include the insurers Wefox and Scalable Capital as well as the logistics unicorn Sennder. The company, founded in 2012, focuses on Internet companies in the growth phase. Now the Phantom Osborne wants to start one of the largest European Spac.

But the Briton avoids the public. His name never appears in press releases. In public documents only the abbreviation HS refers to the fund. Acquaintances and business partners keep a low profile when asked about him. Co-investors are silenced within minutes when they publicize his stake in a company.

All of this has long created a mystery about men, which has grown with his great involvement in the US Spac boom. What is Osborne up to?
