Ahmed Hegazy, defender of the Saudi Jeddah Federation, announced his continuation in the ranks of the Tigers next season.
Hegazy participated in Jeddah’s Al Ittihad victory over Al-Nasr 2-1 in the match that was held at the “Mrsoul Park” stadium, as part of the 30th round of the Prince Mohammed bin Salman League competitions.
Ahmed Hegazy said in televised statements to the Saudi sports channel, Al-Riyadhiyyah, that the Jeddah Al-Ittihad team had a very good season, adding: “We have achieved part of the team’s goals. We can build on what was achieved for the next season, God willing, next season with Al-Ittihad.”
Hegazy is on loan from West Bromwich Albion to Al Ittihad Jeddah for a season, with the right to buy.
West Brom relegated to the Champions League after occupying the penultimate position in the Premier League table last season.
Hegazy thanked the Al-Ittihad fans: “I thank the fans, the second match in the presence of the fans after an absence. They gave the match enthusiasm and taste, the most important thing in the game is the audience.”
He concluded his speech about facing Al-Nasr, saying: “We respected Al-Nassr at their stadium. It is a strong team, and we managed to make the match go in the direction we want.”
