As we pass, all eyes turn, the phones are drawn, we are greeted with smiles, hellos and thumbs up. A cab in the middle of the city of Geneva is unusual. “People wonder if they have crossed a time window”, comments our coachman, Shkelzen Hajdari, dressed as at the time. Headgear, gloves, vest and an imposing black beard make up the character, which everyone calls Zen. He drives Moirot Freestyle, a Comtois stallion with a brown coat and blond mane. This horse “reserved but very brave in effort”, according to its owner, pulls a carriage manufactured in the 1880s by Geissberger, a Zurich company that no longer exists.
