Recently, a hospital employee committed suicide in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province in mainland China. Lin Nan was repeatedly blocked from reimbursement of accounts, and the hospital deducted his salary for more than a year. Finally, he couldn’t bear the pressure and went to a dead end. Relevant staff said that the investigation is currently being conducted according to abnormal death.
According to the mainland media “Strait Metropolis Daily” report, the family members complained tearfully that Lin Nan had lost contact since the afternoon of the 24th. As a result, he was found committing suicide on the roof of Building 3 at around 9:00 that night. When he was rescued, he was obviously dead; At about 00:00 the next morning, Lin Nan’s mother and wife received a message that Lin Nan had set up before his death, including his Alipay account, password and hospital supplies purchase list specially opened for hospital purchases.
The family accused that Mr. Lin had been deducted from his salary by the hospital for more than a year. He bought a lot of equipment and supplies for the hospital, but he was repeatedly hindered in reimbursement, which caused him to be under great mental pressure.
The family members pointed out that after Lin Nan entered the hospital in 2019, he successively purchased medical equipment and decorations according to the requirements of the hospital, totaling 110,000 yuan (about NT$477,000); However, because the hospital wanted to buy supplies at the lowest price at that time, Lin Nanjun purchased them through an online platform and did not issue corresponding invoices.
The family member said, “The hospital said that they had to provide invoices for the things they purchased before, otherwise they would deduct more than 4,000 yuan from his monthly salary. Up to now, a full 90,000 yuan (approximately NT$390,000) has been deducted for more than a year. , and more than 20,000 RMB (approximately NT$86,000) has not been deducted.” The family members expressed grief and indignation that Lin Nan has two children, but every month’s salary has been deducted in full, and he can’t live at all.
The family members also questioned that it took more than two years to ask for an invoice after purchasing the supplies. The hospital’s various practices are not appropriate. “Up to now, no one from the hospital has negotiated with us, and there is no humanitarian sympathy. It is too indifferent.”
In this regard, the relevant staff of the Public Security Bureau of Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone stated that this situation did occur, and that it is currently being investigated as an abnormal death, and the case will be reported to the family of the deceased in the future. As for the hospital, they kept a low profile and refused to respond.
