Upon confirmation, the press release said, ARS Bretagne and Santé publique France (SPF) have established a list of contact persons for this patient in order to take all possible measures to contain any transmission of the virus.
An investigation is underway to identify all of the contact persons, including among the nursing staff. A crisis unit was immediately set up at the CHRU in Brest.

In accordance with the planned protocol, if the contact subjects close to this patient display symptoms of fever, cough and breathing difficulties, samples will then be taken to detect the possible presence of the Covid-19 virus.
The regional health agency reports that regular information points will be posted to update the situation.
Anyone with an acute respiratory infection (fever, cough, shortness of breath) within 14 days after returning from a stay in China (Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao) or an area where the virus is currently circulating (Iran, Singapore , South Korea, Italy: Lombardy and Veneto regions) must contact the Samu Center 15 who will decide what to do medically. It is especially requested not to go directly to the emergency room and to a medical office. In case of suspicion, a test will be carried out.
As with the seasonal flu episode, “barrier measures” (coughing in your elbow, using single-use tissues, wearing a mask, washing your hands regularly) are effective.
