Hotel quarantine for children with vaccinated parents

Officials say children who come with vaccinated parents do not need a hotel quarantine in Qatar. Discover Qatar said the hotel would reimburse those who received the vaccine. Discover Qatar, the hotel booking arm of Qatar Airways, said children returning home with their parents who received the Kovid vaccine did not need a hotel quarantine.

Concessions are available for children up to 16 years of age. Home quarantine will suffice for them. The Ministry of Health had earlier said that hotel quarantine would not be required for those returning to the country within three months after receiving the second dose of Kovid vaccine from Qatar. Earlier, it was announced that a decision would be announced soon as children under the age of 16 were not eligible for the vaccine. That is what was clarified today.

Meanwhile, parents of children between the ages of 16 and 18 who have not been vaccinated must book the Welcome Home package on the Discover Qatar website and comply with the conditions set out therein, Discover Qatar said. In the meantime, those who have received the Kovid vaccine will be refunded the full amount if they have booked the hotel earlier.

Refunds can be applied for up to 48 hours before the check-in time. If you apply within 48 hours, a cancellation charge will be levied. The money will be refunded in two months. Discover Qatar said it had already refunded hotel quarantine fees for 50,000 people
