The Covid-19 crisis heavily affects students in France, their distress being psychological, economic and sometimes food. 11.4% of them evoke suicidal thoughts during the first confinement, according to a study by the National Resource and Resilience Center (CN2R). During the same period, one in ten students say they had to reduce their diet, according to the National Observatory of Student Life.
At the origin of this disarray, there is, of course, the economic crisis which has wiped out tens of thousands of student jobs. But also the loneliness and distance education which hamper the social life of 2.7 million French students. The world met Kwang, Myriam, Rayane and Clara who tell us about their difficult experience of the health crisis.
