Do you want to share a gameplay sequence to impress your loved ones? You have managed to immortalize a sublime shot in the bend of your open world, which would make a suitable wallpaper? There are many reasons why you might want to recover screenshots or clips from your games PS5. Except that until then, the process was laborious to say the least. To get their hands on it, users had to go through Twitter, share the captures with a friend or use a USB key.

Good news, a new feature being deployed makes it much easier to retrieve them. By activating it on the application Playstation App, all captures will be automatically downloaded and available for 14 days. Recently deployed in the United States, this very practical feature should arrive shortly in our regions.

PS5: Recovering a screenshot will now be child’s play

Here’s how:

  • Download the PlayStation App from the App Store or Play Store.
  • Log into your PSN account and pair the app with your PS5.
  • Then go to Library > Captures and select Activate.
  • Now go to your PS5 settings section Captures and broadcasts > Captures.
  • Check that automatic downloading is activated.

Now, screenshots and videos under three minutes (non-4K) are automatically embedded in the app. You can then download them to your smartphone or share them in the blink of an eye. Among other novelties, a new voice command now allows you to turn on your PS5.
