Rosario Robles, former secretary of Social Development, assured that, as a collaborating witness before the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), she will not ratify the accusations against former president Enrique Peña Nieto and Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, former head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob ), for alleged acts of corruption and bribery.
In a call to Ciro Gómez Leyva, made known in Image News, the former official assured that, in her complaint, Emilio Zebadúa, a former senior officer in the secretariats of Social Development and Territorial and Urban Development when she headed those agencies, “is accusing incorruptible people. To shut up would be to endorse a great injustice ”.
Robles contacted Gómez Leyva from the Santa Martha prison in Mexico City.
Previously, the defense of the former secretary had assured that she would provide elements to demonstrate that former Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray ordered the channeling of public resources to PRI electoral campaigns. Later, in a message on Twitter, Robles appeared to dismiss the statements, stating that statements have been made that have not been agreed with her.
I got a call from @Rosario_Robles_ from jail. He told me, among other things, “I have nothing to impute to the former president @EPN by a @osoriochong”

Robles: I have nothing what to impute to Peña
The former head of Sedatu called Image News and asked that it be made public that he will not accuse the former president or the former Secretary of the Interior.
Through a phone call, the former secretary of Agrarian, Urban and Territorial Development, Rosario Robles, assured that in her decision to be a collaborating witness she will not charge former President Enrique Peña Nieto or former Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong, for any crime.
Last night, Ciro Gómez Leyva, to Image News, reported that in the morning he received a call from Rosario Robles, who authorized him to make public that he will not ratify the accusations against Peña Nieto and Osorio Chong for alleged acts of corruption and bribery made by Emilio Zebadúa.
“This morning Rosario Robles called me and authorized me to say the following sentences: ‘I have nothing to impute or to accuse the former President Enrique Peña Nieto or the former Secretary of the Interior, Miguel Osorio Chong.’ ‘I will speak because I see in the complaint of (Emilio) Zebadúa how he is accusing incorruptible people. To shut up would be to endorse a great injustice, “explained Gómez Leyva at the start of the newscast.
Gómez Leyva pointed out that Robles contacted him by telephone from the Santa Martha prison, in Mexico City, where he is being held, to establish his position regarding the statements of Emilio Zebadúa, a former senior officer in the Secretariats of Social Development and Development Territorial and Urban when she headed those dependencies.
Robles announced through his lawyer and later through his Twitter account that he would adhere to the figure of a collaborating witness before the Attorney General’s Office to speak about the alleged acts of corruption and bribery of which Peña Nieto is accused. , Osorio Chong and Luis Videgaray, among others.
“I have decided to embrace the figure of a collaborating witness. At the moment it is the only thing I can report. Statements have been made that have not been agreed with me. I have instructed my attorneys to abide by court procedure. What I must say is that I will speak the truth “
Gómez Leyva reported that Rosario Robles also established the following: “I thought very well about my decision to seek to be a collaborating witness, this was not an act of despair or improvisation.”
The former official concluded by saying that: “I know what I’m facing and I can imagine what my life would be like after this, but I couldn’t stay alone, paying for things I didn’t do and seeing how, with lies, innocent people are destroyed” , Gómez Leyva announced.
Epigmenio Mendieta, Robles’ lawyer, established that it will be the former official who will ratify in the future how the process of abandonment has been on the part of former colleagues from the presidential cabinet that has lived in recent months.
“It is she herself who will be able to say at the time who abandoned her and from whom she expected solidarity, but the truth is that none of the names you just mentioned had an approach or not even a call to communicate that ‘don’t worry, Rosario, ‘”the lawyer pointed out in a phone call with Gómez Leyva.
It should be noted that Robles’ tweet seemed to dismiss the statements made in the morning by his lawyer Sergio Arturo Ramírez, in the sense that the testimonial elements would be provided to demonstrate that it was Luis Videgaray in his role as coordinator of the political campaign, later as Secretary of Finance and later of Foreign Relations, who issued instructions to channel public resources to the electoral campaigns of 2012, 2015 and the 2018 presidential campaign, whose PRI standard-bearer was José Antonio Meade, as well as that of the State of Mexico, in 2017.
“After talking with the teacher Rosario Robles, it was decided that we are going to use the opportunity criteria offered by the FGR, right now we are going to start making the approach with the Financial Intelligence Unit and the FGR to reach Luis Videgaray Caso ”.
For its part, the PRI yesterday disbanded “any illicit act involving public officials”; Furthermore, it rejected that its electoral campaigns in 2012, 2015 and 2018 had used “illegal resources from some illicit activity” and expressed its willingness to collaborate with the FGR.
