Al-Marsad newspaper: Yesterday, the journalist, Yasmine Al-Khatib, announced the failure of her suicide attempt by taking large doses of psychiatric drugs, which she takes regularly on the instructions of her psychiatrist.
Basmin Al-Khatib topped the trend in Egypt, because of her suicide attempt, and wrote in a post to her, through her personal account on the social networking site Facebook: Unfortunately, the attempt did not work, so I was forcibly returned to this hateful, cruel, unjust life.
She explained, “I don’t suffer from emotional shock, or anything, but I will bravely admit that I suffer from BPD (borderline personality disorder).”
She added: Throughout my life, no one has been able to understand my condition or support me, I am very sensitive, moody, do not trust anyone, and have great fears of abandonment, all those who realized my condition exploited my weakness mercilessly, I no longer have any energy to resist, I wish salvation.
