More than 1500 people at a rave party in Alsace
A party in Guémar brings together many participants from Friday night to Saturday. Some 150 gendarmes have been mobilized to guarantee security.
More than 1,500 people gathered on Saturday for a rave party in Guémar, Alsace, the prefecture said. The authorities have not noted any particular tensions for the moment.
“Since the middle of the night, several hundred people have gathered on land in Guémar (north of Colmar, editor’s note) for a rave party,” explained the Haut-Rhin prefecture in a press release.
“At 10 a.m. this morning, around 1,600 participants are present,” she added, specifying that no authorization had been requested for this gathering. The prefecture expects other teknivaliers to join this rave party during the day.
Some 150 gendarmes were mobilized “to guarantee the safety of the inhabitants and of this demonstration”. On Friday, the prefecture of the Territoire du Belfort had banned an unauthorized gathering “of the rave party, free party, teknival type” likely to be held there this weekend.
