An important event for the Princely House is coming up in Monaco: Princess Charlène may return to her homeland for this.
After Princess Chalène (43) for months in South Africa got stuck and had to struggle with health problems there several times, the Monegasque can now treat in a clinic in Switzerland due to physical and psychological stress. The 43-year-old stayed away from her homeland Monaco for a long time. However, this could soon change.
Can Charlène leave the clinic?
On January 27, one of the most important events of the Princely House takes place in Monaco: the honor of the patron saint of Monaco, Sainte Dévote. Traditionally, a fishing boat is lit with torches in the presence of the princely family to honor the holy Devota, who was tortured and killed as a martyr in the 4th century. It is quite possible that Charlène will return to Monaco – and thus also to Prince Albert (63) and her children – for this traditionally important festival.
She already missed the national holiday
The palace had recently announced that the princess was doing better and that her recovery was going “satisfactorily and encouragingly”. But it will be weeks before the 43-year-old has fully recovered. However, there has not yet been an official statement from the Princely House. In any case, the Princess missed the Monegasque national holiday on November 19 – for the first time since her wedding to Prince Albert in 2011.
Family visited Charlène in Switzerland
The princess was separated from her husband and children for a long time. One day before Christmas Eve, the twins Jacques and Gabriella (7) were able to hug Mama Charlène again. Like the German magazine “Colorful“reported that the kids and their papa Albert went to Charlène’s clinic for the first time in five weeks.
Since Jacques, Gabriella and Albert are an important part of their treatment, the three are said to have stopped by Charlène again on January 2nd. During the last visit, they were even part of the treatment: In family therapy, they are said to have questioned Charlène’s role in the family and discussed her place. They looked to see what had to change in their environment so that they could recover and stay healthy in the long term.
