A mother revealed her son’s death in front of his friends while he was performing a “blackout challenge”, which requires holding his breath until he lost consciousness, according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”.

Leon Brown of Cumbernauld, Scotland, only 14 years old, was found unresponsive in his bedroom after undertaking the terrifying challenge.

His mother, Lauren Keating, warned fellow parents after her son’s boyfriend revealed he wanted to repeat the choking game after seeing it on Tik Tok.

She also claimed that Leon’s friends were watching him do the Facetime challenge when the tragedy occurred.

“Maybe they thought it was a joke.”

The 30-year-old also added to the Daily Record: ‘One of Leon’s friends told me he was doing a challenge with them on Facetime after seeing them on Facebook. tik tok“.

“Maybe Leon and his friends thought it was a joke. But Leon isn’t anymore,” she added.

She explained, “I heard about this challenge because of what happened to Archie, but you don’t expect your child to do that.”

While the popular app claims to have removed “blackout challenge” videos from its platform.
