Montreal looked like a ghost town last night when the curfew went into effect.

This is the second time in a year that the Quebec government has imposed a curfew.

At the beginning of the year 2021, the government of François Legault had established a curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., a “shock treatment” to break the second wave of the pandemic.

Originally scheduled to last a month, from January 9, 2021 to February 8, 2021, the curfew was in effect until the end of May.
