Yesterday, 11,233 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, it is mandatory to wear masks with higher protection or two surgical masks on top of each other, BNT reported.
People will have to wear masks in busy places such as shops, public transport, hospitals. Self-made ones will not be recognized as protection.
Free safeguards will be distributed to those in need of food banks.
The new requirements take effect on Thursday. Health authorities imposed them because of the deteriorating epidemiological situation in the country.
