Inflammation caused by damage to the nerve membrane
The Ministry of Health has clarified the signs and symptoms of multiple sclerosis, pointing out that its symptoms are many and vary according to the amount of nerve damage and the strength of its impact.
In an infographic published by Jeddah Health through its official account on Twitter, the Ministry of Health said that the symptoms of multiple sclerosis are:
Pain in parts of the body.
Partial or complete loss of vision.
Bend the knee forward.
Weakness in one or more limbs.
Multiple sclerosis is an inflammation that results from damage to the insulating membrane of the nerves in the brain and spinal cord. This damage or erosion of the membrane negatively affects the communication process between the brain and the rest of the body, and eventually, the nerves themselves may be damaged.
