The passing out parade of the new batch which has completed its training at the Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala Center will be held on Saturday morning. Sri Lanka Navy Chief Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera will be the Chief Guest. Southern Naval Chief Vice Admiral MA Hampiholi and Naval Academy Commandant Vice Admiral Puneet K Bhal will attend.
208 people will line up in the parade in seven courses. Eight people from foreign countries namely Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Madagascar, Mauritius and Maldives will be among those who have completed the training.
The parade was preceded by the 21st convocation ceremony. 101 Midshipmen of the 104th Indian Naval Academy course were awarded B.Tech degrees by IIT Madras Director Vavininathan Kamakoti in the presence of their parents. INA Vice Admiral Puneet K Bal, Rear Admiral Ajay D Theophilus and Deputy Commandant and Chief Instructor Rear Admiral Rajveer Singh were present.
“Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy” for best midshipman in Applied Electronics and Communication (AEC) stream to Christo Biju and “Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Navy” for best performance in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) stream to Rahul Karki in Mechanical Engineering (ME) Best in Stream LHC Denuan also received the ‘Chief of the Naval Staff Rolling Trophy’ for performance.
