Mexico City. Officials from the Health Institute for Wellbeing (Insabi) met with mothers and fathers of minors with cancer, to whom they informed that, for the period from October 25 to 27, the agency generated orders for the supply of neoplastic drugs corresponding to 165 thousand 783 pieces.
Given the concern of mothers of minors with cancer about the fact that with the end of the year the lack of supplies worsens, Enrique Pérez Olguín, Coordinator of Operation and Distribution, He added that Insabi is anticipating the budgetary and operational closure of 2021 and the supply of medicines is guaranteed until the first quarter of 2022, because the keys have already been acquired through the United Nations Office for Project Services (Unops) .
He added that between November 15 and 20, drugs such as Bleomycin will be distributed; Carboplatin, Cisplatin, Cytarabine, Dacarbazine, Daunorubicin, Doxorubicin, Epirubicin, Etoposide and Methotrexate, among others.
The deputy director of Attention to the Issuance of Orders for Medicines and Healing Materials, David González Martínez, reported that this week methotrexate was delivered to hospitals in Veracruz and Guerrero.
He announced that this week deliveries will continue to the warehouses corresponding to the Regional Hospital of High Specialty of Ixtapaluca (HRAEI), in the State of Mexico, and the state warehouse of Guerrero, in Chilpancingo.
