The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance confirmed that as soon as it issued its circular to limit the use of loudspeakers in mosques and mosques to the call to prayer and Iqamah, it directed the ministry’s branches and all employees of mosques and supporting mosques in Friday prayers in the regions of the Kingdom using an external speaker on the mosque’s wall towards worshipers in the rows outside the mosques and mosques support; To make them hear the voice of the sermon and prayer, in order to avoid the imam’s voice not reaching the sermon and prayer for those outside the mosque.

The ministry indicated that the officials of mosques and mosques started implementation immediately after the directive was issued, and some are still in the process of implementation, which resulted in some observations in a number of mosques on this day, explaining that it closely follows through the mosque monitors and its official social media platforms the implementation of all the instructions it issues to take care of mosques. And the worshipers and provide all the needs so that the worshipers perform the prayer with calmness and reverence.

The ministry also called on worshipers, in the event of monitoring any shortcomings or observations in mosques and mosques, to communicate through the Beneficiary Services Center 1933 to report them so that it can be avoided.

The ministry indicated that the circular issued to all branches of the ministry in the Kingdom’s regions limiting the use of external loudspeakers to calling the call to prayer and iqaamah only, is valid and is based on achieving the legitimate purposes indicated by the texts of the Qur’an and the Prophet’s Sunnah, and a group of distinguished scholars issued a fatwa.
