Beijing, the capital of China, went on high alert just after the long holidays (October 1-7) of the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the nation. It is no longer possible to enter or exit Beijing from the outside.

The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party will begin on October 16 at the Great Hall of the People. The Communist Party Congress is held once every five years, but Xi Jinping (69 years old), who was the general secretary (top of the party) for the “two terms of 10 years”, is retiring according to the customary practice. However, they are trying to semi-permanently build “Xi Jinping’s Communist Party” and eventually “Xi Jinping’s China”.

The party constitution has a greater meaning than the constitution

The “Chapter of the Communist Party of China” written at the end of this article refers to the constitution of the Communist Party of China. The 20th Congress of the Communist Party, which begins on the 16th, will decide on the party’s “personnel” and “policies” for the next five years.

Among them, the “policy” is clearly manifested in the revision of the party constitution. The Party Constitution is the constitution of a single political party, but in a sense, the Party Constitution is more important than the Constitution, as the Chinese Constitution states that “the Communist Party leads the country.”
