Intensive bed research: The Schrappe case – WORLD

AOn May 16, 2021, an interdisciplinary working group led by health economist Matthias Schrappe published a position paper. The researchers put forward the thesis that the fear of an emergency in the German intensive care units in the pandemic was unfounded.

Under normal circumstances, such a thesis would not be particularly exciting. But our times are not normal, and the supposedly impending overload of the intensive care units was the central argument for the serious encroachments on fundamental rights of the “Federal Emergency Brake”. Anyone who questions this argument is also questioning German pandemic policy – and the media that orchestrated it with ever new warnings.

So the former “Assault Gun of Democracy” opened the fog throwers.
