The paths of 19-year-old Tibo Persyn and Club Brugge cross again. The Belgian junior international is hired for a season with an option to buy from Inter Milan, the Red Devil club Romelu Lukaku.
A versatile player, Persyn can play at the back as well as on the outside right, which makes him an interesting additional asset for Philippe Clement’s troops. After being trained at the Club, Persyn joined the training center of the reigning Italian champion in 2018. He has worn the U21 captain’s armband on several occasions.
Persyn is the Blauw & Zwart’s second summer acquisition after 22-year-old defenseman Stanley Nsoki. Trained at PSG, the Frenchman has played for the past two seasons at OGC Nice, which sold him for compensation of 6.5 million to Club Bruges.
