Palm Beach According to the operating company, the former US President Donald Trump has received one billion dollars in capital from investors to set up his own social network “Truth Social”.

The money comes from a diverse group of institutional investors, it said on Saturday in a message from the Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG), without names being mentioned. Trump plans to create his own online platform after Twitter and other social media blocked his account after his supporters stormed the Capitol on January 6th.

“One billion dollars sends an important message to Big Tech that censorship and political discrimination must end,” Trump said in the press release. “America is ready for TRUTH Social, a platform that will not discriminate on the basis of political ideology.”
