Graffiti artist Raffael Strasser will have to make do with a correspondingly small space of 0.9 m² (calculated based on a body weight of 70 kg) on 3.5 cm wide concrete columns
Vienna (OTS) –
If: from 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2023 to 10 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023
Wo: 1010 Vienna, Stephansplatz, above the Virgil Chapel
Was: 2 animal rights activists will spend 24 hours on real cattle slatted floors in the city of Vienna
Raffael Strasser is the artist who presented the artistic intervention “Livestock – Facts, Connections and Background of the Meat Industry” in early 2022 in the main courtyard of Vienna’s Museumsquartier, which has also been published in book form. In addition, he has already created several large graffitis on the Danube Canal in Vienna on animal welfare issues. Now, like a beef cattle, he will only sit in the middle of Vienna’s Stephansplatz for 24 hours on a fully slatted floor with 3.5 cm wide concrete columns. In addition to him, an animal rights activist is also taking on this challenge. They each have only 0.9 m² of space, which corresponds to the legal space for beef cattle calculated down to a body weight of 70 kg.
