IPL 2022: Lucknow Super Giants beat Louis’s by a huge margin

Mumbai: Lucknow Super Giants won the IPL by a huge margin. Chennai Super Kings ‘211-run target was surpassed by Quinton Decock and Lewis’ half-centuries as Lucknow chased down the target by four wickets with three balls to spare. Lewis (55 off 23 balls) and Badoni (19 off 9 balls) were unbeaten.

Captain Rahul and Quinton Decock got off to a flying start as they scored 99 runs in 10.2 overs for the opening wicket for Lucknow. Lucknow scored 55 not out in the power play. Pretoria returned Rahul’s 40 off 26 balls and Decock’s 61 off 45 balls.

Lucknow also lost the wicket of Manish Pandey who scored five runs. Then, with the young star Ayush Badoni at the crease, Louis broke down. Lucknow needed 56 runs to win the last four overs.

However, Lucknow came close to victory with Shivam Dubey hitting 25 in the 19th over. The first two balls of the last over were bowled by Mukesh Chaudhary and Badoni hit six off the next ball to ease the victory. Score: Chennai Super Kings 210-7 in 20 overs and Lucknow Super Giants 211-3 in 19.3 overs.
