Is the risk of a real estate bubble increasing in Paris?

ANALYSIS – The French capital had joined last year the small club of cities where a real estate bubble could burst, according to the Swiss bank UBS. What does the report reveal this year?

In general, when Paris progresses in a world ranking, it is rather a source of satisfaction and pride. This is undoubtedly less the case when the ranking in question looks at the cities presenting a risk of real estate bubble. Called “Global Real Estate Bubble Index”, this annual study conducted by the Swiss bank UBS classified for the first time last year Paris among the 7 cities where this threat is the strongest.

And this time, not only the French capital remains in the red but the risk increases, since it passes from the 7th to the 5th place in this ranking. In this small group, Munich, Frankfurt, Toronto and Hong-Kong are ahead of Paris while Amsterdam and Zürich occupy the 6th and 7th places.
