The performance of the artist Ahmed Daoud in the twenty-third episode of the series “Suits in Arabic” won the public’s praises last Ramadan, especially his reaction after receiving the news of his grandmother’s death.
Ahmed Daoud said during an interview with CBC’s It’s Show time: I am very happy with the audience’s reaction to the scene, because it contains part of the truth and my relationship with my grandmother, whom I called “Stu” as in the series.
He added, “The scene was more than just acting. I got into a state because of which I did not feel the change of cameras around, and I stayed in that state for some time after filming ended.”
He continued, “I think that the scene reminded viewers of experiences from their lives, and the sound engineer was crying and told me that I reminded him of his father, and there are many other scenes that I love despite their simplicity with Aser Yassin and Reem.”
The audience interacted with Adam Mansour (Ahmed Daoud) in the episode, when he was shocked by the news of his grandmother’s death after he bought her an apartment next to the law firm.
Ahmed Daoud, starring Aser Yassin, Saba Mubarak, Reem Mustafa, Muhammad Shaheen and Tara Emad, co-starred in the series. The series was written by Muhammad Hefzy and Yasser Abdel Majid, produced by Tariq Al-Janaini, and directed by Essam Abdel Hamid. The American version of the series is very popular in the Arab world.
