Urban mobility is changing our habits, but it is not always very easy on a daily basis. In fact, the Japanese company Icoma has just created an electric motorcycle concept that should address one of your issues.

An electric motorcycle with 50 kilometers of autonomy

The project is called Icoma Tatamel Bike. For the moment, there is no question of marketing it, it is a concept. It is a small electric motorcycle capable of folding into the shape of a suitcase to be stored anywhere. When folded, it looks like a PC tower: 70 centimeters high and 26 centimeters wide, you can slide it like a suitcase.

It is nonetheless fast with a speed of 40 km / h, enough to walk without problem in a city like Paris. Indeed, since August 30, the maximum authorized speed is limited to 30 km / h in the capital. It incorporates a 600 Watt motor with a 12,000 mAh battery, which provides approximately 50 kilometers of autonomy. It already has many of the necessary requirements in its category, such as lights, indicators and a license plate.

The manufacturer has also provided that you can choose the finishes of the bike, the illustrations show a wood finish. The side plates can even be replaced with screens, if necessary.

In short, an interesting project which responds to one of the constraints of daily life, but we will have to wait to see this motorcycle run in France. Its designer really intends to make it into mass production, future announcements are coming.
