it was the beginning of a descent into hell, the couple has even just separated…

In 1997, Barry Chuwen and his partner won £5 million in the Lotto. They became at the time two of the greatest winners in the history of the National Lottery in Scotland. But their fairy tale only lasted a few years.

On a personal level first, the couple had to face a terrible ordeal in 2004, when they lost their child Tod, stillborn. In 2008 then, the financial crisis considerably weakened the financial empire that Barry had founded and which was around 30 million pounds. Five years later, his company was declared bankrupt by the Bank of Scotland.

In 2020, another of his companies, in real estate, went into liquidation. And as if that were not enough, we learned that, last May, the regulator took a dislike to their association “The Teddy Bear Foundation”, a charity that they had set up in tribute to their son Tod.

And to top it off, the DailyStar announces that the couple will now separate, because Barry has fallen in love with another woman: “I have apologized to Jenny and our children and I hope to continue to be a loving father for them,” he said in an official statement.

The couple will have to sell their magnificent villa located in the south of the country, valued at more than 2 million euros.
