Although merchants do everything they can to ensure receipt of their products, consumers might have surprises while shopping for Christmas.

“About a dozen months ago, the whole aspect of procurement became a major issue. And then by working hard with all of our teams, our franchisor, and so on, we arrived at a picture which is even more than acceptable, which is really almost complete ”, explains Martin Boucher, Chairman and CEO of the Group. Butcher Sports.

The latter worked hard to fill the shelves in time for the opening of a new store.

In order not to be caught off guard, several experts are therefore advising consumers to start their holiday shopping now.

The coming months could be difficult for the supply of goods, in particular due to the increase in delivery costs and the slowdown in production at some factories linked to outbreaks of COVID-19.

Martin Boucher also plans to experience some problems next year.

“We are anticipating challenges that may be a little bigger on the other hand for 2022,” he says.
