“I’ve had more than enough of these practices”

“I’ve had more than enough of Mega’s practices,” complains Tom to our colleagues at HBvL. Mega, his energy supplier, informed him that he would soon have no electricity at home. In question ? An unpaid advance invoice. Indeed, he did not settle his advance bill of 527 euros, having asked Mega to adjust it. This had been increased, without his consent. Problem: he can’t change it.

“In November, the client received an email in which we offered to increase his advance rate from December,” explains Mega to our colleagues. “He had the opportunity to refuse this. He did not do it. Tom contacted his supplier when his advance bill was increased. Either too late. His December invoice was then paid several months late, without the reminder costs, which is why a contract termination procedure was launched on the supplier’s side.

Tom was finally able to maintain his contract and has the possibility of determining the amount of his next advance bills.
