The DRK Usingen a new local club manager: Alexander Jackson has been elected by acclamation. He is facing a new challenge: the accommodation situation.
USINGEN – The annual general meeting of the Usingen local association of the German Red Cross (DRK) in the Huguenot Church lasted just 25 minutes on Friday evening. “We want to deal with the agenda quickly,” said District Manager Axel Bangert, setting out the route for the meeting to the members. At the annual report of the local association, he said that many actions and also the celebrations for the 150th anniversary had been postponed because of the pandemic. “We hope for the next year”. In addition, the accommodation situation in Usingen is difficult.
Alexander Jackson was then elected as the new first chairman of the local association by acclamation, with the person concerned abstaining. “I am looking forward to the task and would like to put myself in the service of the DRK in this way,” said Jackson, who has been living in Usingen for 14 years, about his election. Jackson is an employee of the Eschborn city administration and is also involved in politics as treasurer of the CDU in Usingen.
Secretary Cyndia Ramm then received an award for her five-year commitment to the DRK. Dennis Behn was recognized for 15 years of membership in the DRK and Jens Heino Streit received an award for 40 years of commitment to the DRK.
