On May 26, 2021, the Neufchâteau Criminal Court sentenced him to 4 years in prison. The Liège Court of Appeal has since confirmed the sentence and added a fine of 25,000 euros. The sentence is final. For the courts, Jacky kidnapped her five children. From his point of view, he took them abroad to prevent them from being placed. For the courts, he went head-on against a court decision. He considers himself that he removed them to protect them from a placement that did not take place. The children were between 4 and 11 years old. They are now 7, 9, 11, 12 and 14 years old.
