Jaime Galvez Delgado will be the new Minister of Energy and Mines of the Cabinet that presides Violeta Bermúdez.
The economist had already been appointed as vice minister of Mines in mid-August this year.
His swearing-in as head of the sector was after 7 pm this Thursday.
Gálvez Delgado is an economist graduated from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP).
Until 2019 Gálvez Delgado was General Director of Mining Promotion and Sustainability of Minem and previously he was director of Territorial Budget Articulation at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
In addition, he worked in the private sector in matters of social responsibility, development of sustainable projects and administration of mining funds implemented by companies in the extractive sector.
With the swearing in of Gálvez Delgado, the Ministerial Cabinet of Violeta Bermúdez is already complete.
