Jaime Gálvez was sworn in as head of the Ministry of Energy and Mines

In the management of President Francisco Sagasti, the appointment of a head for the Ministry of Energy and Mines (minem). This Thursday, the Vice Minister of Mines, Jaime Gálvez, was sworn in as the new minister of the sector.

Gálvez was working in the aforementioned vice ministry since mid-August, replacing Augusto Cauti, at the time when the sector was in charge of Luis Inclategui.

Jaime Gálvez was previously director of territorial budget for the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and manager of sustainable development for the Gold Fields mining company, in addition to working as manager of the Antamina mining fund.

This is the tenth holder in the minem in the current five-year period.
