On the 18th, the National Solidarity for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (Jeon Jang-yeon) held a protest on the way to work in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Due to the third day of protests by the Jeonjangyeon, traffic was restricted to six lanes of an eight-lane road, and vehicles passing nearby were rained with horns and shouts.

Among netizens, criticisms and accusations are pouring in, beyond complaints of fatigue over such protests. In the Internet community where Yongsan residents are gathered, there are voices urging the government to take measures.

At 7:40 a.m. on the 18th, Jeon Jang-yeon, chairman of the Seoul Center for Independent Living for the Disabled, and Jeon Jang-yeon held a press conference in front of Exit 4 of Sinyongsan Station and said, “This supplementary budget reflects the budget for the basic rights of the disabled, so that people with disabilities can live in the local community. I hope that the budget comes out so that I can come up with an answer.” He said, “Prosecutor President Yoon Seok-yeol promised that he would keep his promise. I will take the subway to work today.”

They started marching from Exit 4 of Sinyongsan Station and then occupied the crosswalk in front of the Amorepacific headquarters. According to Newsis and others, the protests lasted for about 14 minutes, and in the process, six lanes of an eight-lane road were controlled. Citizens in cars honked their horns and protested.

The police demanded the voluntary disbandment, but they also protested to the police to stop the car again, saying, “Our assembly is reported.”

It is known that they will continue road protests for the time being to urge the Yun Seok-yeol government to reflect the budget for the disabled. From 7:30 am every day until the 20th, they will march toward Samgakji Station at the crosswalk at Exit 3 of Sinyongsan Station.
