Joseph Maldonado-Passage aka Joe Exotic has noticed the fame he has achieved since the publication of the Netflix documentaries “Tiger King”.

“You know, it would be nice if I could see that I was famous out there,” said Maldonado-Passage during a Netflix interview on March 22 from the prison. He is currently serving a 22-year sentence for his role in a murder. For-fire plot against animal rights activist Carole Baskin.

Maldonado-Passage added that he’s done with Baskin, who has been portrayed as his main competitor in the entire Netflix series, which has become one of the most popular in the streaming service.

“I’m done with the Carole Baskin saga. Now is the time to turn the tables and Joe is released from prison as a free man and freed from all these charges,” he said.

Baskin in turn rated the series as “cheeky and sensational”. “There is no word for how disappointing it is,” said Baskin, who said she had been asked to be part of the “Big Cat version of” Blackfish. “

Baskin heads the Big Cat Rescue and was extremely critical of the Maldonado Passage park. Some of the other people profiled and interviewed for “Tiger King” don’t think Baskin is the squeaky-clean animal rights activist she claims to be. Maldonado Passage has accused Baskin of killing her former husband and either feeding his remains to the tigers or throwing the body into a septic tank on their property. Earlier this week, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office renewed his search for Jack “Don” Lewis, noting the increased interest in the case.

“Tiger King” follows (and the title refers to) Joe Exotic, the owner of a big cat zoo in Oklahoma. Exotic, real name Joseph Maldonado-Passage, was found guilty of hiring a killer to kill Baskin, one of his wildlife rivals. He is serving a prison sentence of several years for this and for animal rights crimes.
