The Argentine judge Federico Villena convened a working table between different security forces to analyze, with the collaboration of the FBI, the case of the plane Venezuelan-Iranian held in Buenos Aires since last June 6.

The officials have been working since Thursday on the analysis of the electronic elements and the documentation collected, which, according to sources consulted by Webamounts to hundreds of gigabytes of information.

Participating in the investigation are the Antiterrorist Investigation Unit Department of the Argentine Federal Police, the Argentine National Gendarmerie, the Special Investigations section of the Police of the City of Buenos Aires and the National Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Security of the Nation.

These security forces joined members of the Villena court and the prosecutor’s office headed by Cecilia Incardona. In addition, the Delegation of Argentine Israelite Associations and the Regional Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the United States of America with Responsibility for Argentina are also present.

The judge and the prosecutor are still awaiting responses from six countries from which they requested information: the United States (to expand on what the FBI has already reported), Mexico (on the cargo and crew that boarded the plane at the point of departure ), Paraguay (where the plane had passed before), Uruguay (the country that denied entry to the Emtrasur flight) and Venezuela and Iran, countries from which the 19 crew members come.

The agency Web confirmed a few days ago that Judge Villena had issued warrants to the United States to request more information about the Iranian pilot Gholamreza Ghasemi and about the plane.

Although she is investigating the cargo, the plane and all its crew, the prosecutor focused on the pilot because the FBI reported that he would be linked to the Qeshm Fars Air organization, which was linked by the United States Treasury to terrorist activities.
