Through an official statement, issued on their social networks, the rojiblanco team reported two positives for coronavirus among the 59 people of the institution who underwent PCR tests last weekend, after the game on Tuesday, September 22 against Independiente del Valle, which already has five infected by the disease.
The shark club did not specify whether they are players, coaching staff or workers.
“Junior is allowed to inform the general public and fans in particular, that under the Conmebol Operations Protocol, the Covid-19 tests were performed on a total of 59 members of our institution, finding two positive, asymptomatic cases,” he explained Junior through his communication.
The two people who tested positive were immediately removed while the respective epidemiological fences were activated.
“The positive cases are being monitored by the EPS to which the members of the club related in this case are affiliated. Those who tested positive will be in their place of residence in strict isolation. Likewise, epidemiological fences corresponding to the protocols of Dimayor, Conmebol and the Ministry of Health for said process are being carried out ”, the Caribbean team said.
“Junior maintains its commitment and social responsibility in relation to the health and care of each of the members of our institution,” the statement said.
