And with us? In Flanders, 16 suspected cases of salmonella infection are being investigated by Vlaams Agentschap Zorg en Gezondheid, announces Het Laatste Nieuws. According to the FASFC, there are just over 25 suspected cases in Belgium.

Symptoms of a salmonella infection include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, vomiting, and fever. While most cases resolve within a few days, symptoms can be severe and lead to hospitalization, especially in the very young and those with weakened immune systems.
