To show off all of its electric performance know-how, Kia has unveiled the EV6 GT. A very muscular version of the crossover with a power of 585 hp and which has already made us dizzy on the circuit et on the Turini pass. She now practices on the Autobahn.

Because if the Kia EV6 GT knows how to be particularly agile in tight turns, at least for a vehicle of this size, it was also designed to spin on the highway like any self-respecting Grand Touring car. And there is only one place on earth where it can express itself in this way: on German autobahns, the favorite playground of the AutoTopNL channel.

The Kia EV6 GT accelerates hard

The opportunity to take stock of the extent of its capabilities. With 80% charge available, the EV6 GT here performs the 0-100 km/h in 3.71 s, which is close to the time of 3.32 s recorded by Pierre. But the specialists go even further by timing the 400 m DA in 11.64 s (at the passing speed of 202 km/h). This corresponds to the time required by a 600 hp Audi RS6 Avant.

The AutoTopNL test, however, puts the Kia EV6 GT in front of the Tesla Model Y Performance, measured with 76% battery. When the Y model displays a 100 to 200 km/h in 12.11 s, the Korean has a value of 9.61 s. Nothing surprising therefore when reading the traditional 0 to 100 km / h, with a time of 4.20 s for the Model Y. Finally, the latter tops out at 253 km / h on the clock, while the EV6 GT can climb up to 266 km/h.

What to deduce? That Kia has indeed succeeded in its mission to present to the world its mastery of electric performance, which has nothing to envy to the references of this nascent segment. Remember that the crossover is displayed at a price of €72,990, or €3,000 more than the American SUV.
