In connection with the ‘corporate card allegation’ of Kim Hye-kyung, the spouse of Rep. Lee Jae-myung, the police recently raided about 100 restaurants.
The purpose is to obtain a corporate card receipt and check whether it was personally useful.

A restaurant specializing in beef ribs in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.
In January and April of last year, when Lee Jae-myung was governor of Gyeonggi, 105,000 won and 120,000 won were paid with the corporate card of the Gyeonggi Planning Office.
It is said that ‘Corona 19 Metropolitan Area Joint Response’ was used as a business promotion expense to discuss with Gyeonggi Province officials.
The police visited this restaurant in the middle of last month and secured corporate card payment details and receipts.

“Once a police officer stopped by, he just took a photo of the receipt (corporate card).”
This restaurant is only 2km away from the home of the then-governor and the couple, and more than 20km from the Gyeonggi Provincial Office.
Contrary to the stated purpose, it is possible that the place was used for private purposes, but the police raided and searched 129 restaurants and cafes, including this place.
It is also reported that a restaurant where a former general affairs department employee of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office, known to have served as Kim Hye-kyung’s attendant, ordered the secretary to purchase beef and sushi, etc.

Following the search and seizure of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government-related departments in April, the police have entered into a compulsory investigation into the use of the card.
Previously, Gyeonggi Province submitted a complaint to the Gyeonggi Nambu Police Agency, saying that the audit revealed that millions of won had been used for private purposes.
The police are checking whether the Gyeonggi-do corporate card is for Kim Hye-kyung, and are considering subpoenaing and investigating the case related to Kim.
Rep. Jae-myung Lee’s side did not give a specific position, but previously stated, “I received personal help from a former general affairs department employee, and I did not use the corporate card myself.”
